Goodyear Art of Cultures Exhibit
Three of my photos were select to be displayed at the new Goodyear Branch Library from June 3rd through September 30th. There will be an artist reception on Friday, June 27th from 5-7 pm, please attend! The Goodyear Branch Library is located at 14455 W Van Buren, Goodyear, AZ 85338.
Below are the three pieces of art that were selected. The exhibit will include 17 different art pieces from seven different artists. The theme “Art of Cultures” is an effort to further showcase the diverse and vibrant cultures that comprise the West Valley that will be promoted at the “Art of Cultures” festival.
This late afternoon photo of my wife walking thru a field of grain was captured on one of the remaining farms in Goodyear. Captured on May 21, 2013 at 05:36 PM. The image is framed in a black gallery frame 24 x 30 and is listed at $395.
Stairs To No Where
A photo from the inside of the Phoenix Trotting Park, a horse racing track, that was originally built in 1964 in Goodyear. It opened in 1965, but was only open for around 2 and a half seasons. Image was captured on July 28, 2013 at 12:41 PM. The image is framed in a black gallery frame 24 x 30 and is listed at $395.
Burst Of Cotton
A macro photo of a cotton boll that has opened. Image is from one of the cotton farms in Goodyear. Paul Weeks Litchfield of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company brought cotton production to the area around Phoenix before World War II. Image was captured on September 15, 2013 at 08:29 AM. The image is framed in a black gallery frame 24 x 24 and is listed at $345.
