My image “Soaring Over Red Rock State Park” was selected for the Arte de Avian National Juried Exhibit. The “Arte de Avian” is an exhibit of art celebrating the beauty and spirit of birds and birding. Southern Arizona is a mecca for bird watching and has some of the best birding places in the world. People come from all over to see many rare species found in a few other places with confirmed sightings of more that 200 species of birds. The national juried exhibition is at Tubac Center of the Arts. There will be an Opening Reception on Friday the 13th in March, from 5 pm to 7 pm. The exhibit is juried by Tucson artist Ben Johnson.
Tubac Center of the Arts is the core of Tubac’s artistic heritage and identity. They pursue excellence in serving as a venue for artistic expression, appreciation and learning for those who create and enjoy art in southern Arizona.
