Had five pieces of art juried in for the Scottsdale El Pedregal Gallery for the May/June rotation. El Predregal at The Boulders is nestled amid a stunning desert landscape and 12 million-year-old boulders. It’s a destination with high-end boutiques, restaurants & cafes, galleries & an amphitheater. The new gallery is managed by the Sonoran Art League.
Last night’s Arts HQ Blank Canvas Opening Reception was a n enormous success! I heard that they gave up trying to count attendees after 300. The Arts HQ event was hosted by the West Valley Arts Council, the Inaugural Art Exhibit will be on display from July 24th through September 12th. The Art HQ is located at 16126 North Civic Center Plaza, Surprise, AZ 85374. Below is a photo from last night, taken after the crowd had thinned out and while I was still on my first drink, or was it my second. 🙂

Artwork On Display
This was created from a photo captured at the Desert Botanical Garden. The piece of art is Chihuly’s Sapphire Star and was printed by Bay Photo. Also got to use my $100 Bay Photo certificate from the Photographer’s Adventure Club! The print is a 36 x 36 Fine Art Giclee Canvas Gallery Wrap printed directly onto museum quality canvas material using high quality archival inks. Laminate was applied to protect the surface of the print and to provide UV Light protection.
